- Start early in the week.
- Make flash cards for each word and each definition of each word (and related
word).
- Learn to pronounce each word properly and also (if necessary) in a way that
suggests its proper spelling.
- Practice reading the definition and memorizing the vocabulary word.
- Study a little each night (5-10 minutes); or better yet, study at odd moments
during the day when time presents itself.
- Spend most of your time on the words you do not know well.
- Review all words the night before the quiz or test.
- On the final night write each word on a piece of scratch paper to check
your spelling carefully.
